Current Professional Activity
Keith Cobb is a business consultant and strategic advisor to several companies. His primary business activity over the past few years has been associated with corporate restructuring, strategic business unit divestitures, financial management and internal control issues.
Keith serves on the boards of directors of the following business organizations:
· Alliance Data Systems Corp. (NYSE – ADS), a transaction services, credit services and marketing services company that operates through multiple distribution channels.
· BankAtlantic Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE – BBX), a financial services holding company with controlling interest in BankAtlantic, a Florida regional bank.
· BFC Financial Corp. (NYSE – BFF), a holding company with controlling investments in banking and real estate companies and minority investments in retail and other businesses.
Keith currently serves as an adjunct finance professor in the MBA program at the H. Wayne Huizenga Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University.
Keith is also a frequent speaker, panelist and participant in corporate governance conferences and seminars – focused primarily on audit committee responsibilities.
Professional Background
Keith was Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alamo Rent A Car, Inc., prior to its sale to AutoNation, Inc. in 1996.
Before his association with Alamo, Keith held several senior leadership positions over a 32-year career at KPMG, most recently as National Managing Partner - Financial Services, with national responsibility for the banking, insurance, mutual fund, investment banking and real estate practices of the firm. He was a senior member of the firm's Management Committee for a five-year period.
Keith served a six-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Miami Branch, a branch bank of the Federal Reserve System that deals with U. S. monetary policy and bank regulation. He also is a former director of other corporate boards over the past several years, including Chateau Communities, Inc. (an equity REIT), Renaissance Cruises, Inc. (an international cruise line), CRA Investment Fund (a financial services mutual fund), RHR International, Inc, (a global consulting firm) and First Fleet Corporation (a truck leasing company). He also served for four years on the advisory board of Farlie, Turner & Co LLC. (an investment banking firm).
Community Activities
For many years Keith has held leadership roles in key business and community organizations in Fort Lauderdale, Baltimore and Philadelphia, and he has been a member of the Conference Board and other national professional organizations.
Leadership responsibilities in South Florida have included the following: Chairman of the Community Foundation of Broward; Chairman of the United Way of Broward County; Chairman of the Museum of Discovery and Science; and Chairman of the Broward Public Library Foundation. Keith served as Chairman of the Commission on the Study of the Future of the University of Southern Mississippi in recent years and led the development of a vision for the University’s long-term strategy.
Currently, Keith serves as Chairman of the Budget Advisory Board for the City of Fort Lauderdale. He is a member of the boards of the Broward Workshop and Nova Southeastern University School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

Keith graduated with honors in 1963 from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Keith has been listed in Who's Who in America for more than ten years and has been featured in several other lists recognizing distinguished professional and social contributions.
Personal
Keith is 68 years old. He is a native of Calhoun City, Mississippi. He and his wife Dot have been married for 46 years and have three sons. He currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he is an elder in the First Presbyterian Church and belongs to a number of social organizations.
